

SAE BAJA
Baja SAE is an intercollegiate design competition run by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). Teams of students from universities all over the world design and build small off-road cars. The goal in Baja SAE racing is to design, build and race off-road vehicles that can withstand the harshest elements of rough terrain. The vehicles used in Baja SAE racing are often similar in appearance to dune buggies



SAE BAJA 2013
The first Instalment of BAJASAEINDIA was held at Govt. Facility of NATRIP, Indore in February 2013. The 25 member team was headed by HDVG Raju (pursuing MS abroad). The faculty in charge was Mr. Joshua David Freeman and Kanagaraj Perumal. The team finished 40th amongst 276 teams and was one of the only two teams from the state to qualify for the finale. The project also was fully funded by Amritanandamayi Math
SAE BAJA 2014
The second Instalment of BAJASAEINDIA was held at Govt. Facility of NATRIP, Indore in February 2014. The 25 member team was headed by Nikhil Unnikrishnan (pursuing MS abroad). The faculty in charge was Mr. Joshua David Freeman and Kanagaraj Perumal. The team finished 38th amongst 367 teams and was one of the only team from the state to qualify for the finale. The project also was fully funded by Amritanandamayi Math.
